A prepaid SIM can be activated with a passport: the carrier records the document type, number and issue date. Movistar sells prepaid eSIMs online or in its stores; you activate them in the Mi Movistar app or with a QR code sent by email.

The MIO, paid by card
A ride has cost COP 3,500 since 10 January 2026. Pay by tapping a contactless Visa or Mastercard, debit or credit, or a phone or watch with a digital wallet, on the validator; no bank setup needed. The system runs Monday to Saturday from 5 am to 11 pm, and from 6 am to 10 pm on Sundays and public holidays.

Alfonso Bonilla Aragón airport (CLO) is in Palmira, about 19 km from Granada as the crow flies. Shuttle buses between the airport and the Cali bus terminal cost COP 12,000, take about 30 minutes and leave every 20 minutes from 4 am until 8:40 pm or 9 pm, depending on the company.
